The Phoenix Astronomical Society Noticeboard
Working BeesThe Phoenix Council is looking for a person to help us coordinate our working bees. We need someone who is willing to regularly contact a handful of people from our list of volunteers to do a specific tasks at our Ahiaruhe (Stonehenge Aotearoa) site For instance if there is some painting that needs doing then this person would organise a small group of those that have offered to do some painting to turn up on a given day. The person is not required to be at the working bee but just coordinate the people to be there and let us know who is available. Someone else will ensure the materials for the project are available on the day.
Ideally we need someone who has some time during the day or evenings to ring/email those on our volunteers list and ensure a small group of people are on site for an assigned task. Having such person would be of great help in having one less job to do to for an already very busy Council. Please contact Antony (021 253 4979,

) if you can help us with coordinating the working bees.
There is a need for more volunteers to help with the jobs around the Ahiaruhe site. Most of these are keeping the site tidy and maintained. The clubrooms and observatories need cleaning and painting and the gardens maintained. So if you are able help please consider adding your name to our volunteers list by contacting Antony or one of the other Council members. You would only be expected to help a few times a year. The Society have a wonderful facility available at Ahiaruhe with our clubrooms, observatories and Stonehenge Aotearoa so please help to keep it in good order for the benefit of all our members.
